Abstract:
Novembal SAS, the caps and closures division of Switzerland's Tetra Pak, has acquired Crealise Conditionnement Inc., a Canadian injection molder of polyethylene closures for large bottles.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Anse, France-based Novembal said in an Aug. 31 news release that Crealise of Rawdon,Quebec, has been renamed Novembal Canada.
“The acquisition will enable Novembal to deploy its strategy of increasing its range of products.” Novembal said in the release.
Officials from both firms did not immediately return requests for comment.
According to its website, Crealise manufactures caps for 3-, 5-, or 6-gallon (11- and 18-liter) containers in the Aquasequr+ line for water cooler bottles and Crealise 55+ for other liquid food packaging.
Crealise was founded in 1952 in Rawdon.
Tetra Pak is a division of Laval International SA of Pully, Switzerland — which includes Tetra Pak packaging, Sidel bottling and DeLaval dairy equipment divisions.
Tetra Pak employs 21,000 at 50 plants globally. It had 2009 sales of about 8.96 billion euros ($11.47 billion).
