Riding on the unprecedented success of CHINAPLAS 2010 in Shanghai, CHINAPLAS 2011 will be held again in Guangzhou, the capital city of the Guangdong Province. The Pearl River Delta of Guangdong is a key region of light industrial production. Among China's top 10 major plastic products in 2009, Guangdong's output ranked first in five of these 10 categories, including daily plastic products, plastic tubes, plate / sheet products, packaging, and other kinds of plastic products. Large-scale plastic product enterprises accounted for 21% of the national total. Moreover, Guangdong recorded more than 10 million tons in the total output of plastic products in 2009, it is the first province ever to achieve the 10-million output threshold. At the same time, taking advantage of the newly opened Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Rail, Guangdong stands to gain much from the faster transportation to other provinces and cities and will further stimulate its economic development.
