Abstract:
Chinese manufacturer Changda International Holdings has developed a new packaging technology for its fertiliser products to reduce the amount of air that enters the packaging material.
The company said about 5% of a delivery to a distributor has to be repackaged due to wear and tear during transportation from its packaging facility.
The technology enables distributors to reduce time and effort spent on repackaging prior to distribution to the end user.
The new system has also allowed Changda to save up to 100,000 plastic bags on 100,000 tons of product, it said.
